Aliso Viejo Councilman Ross Chun's Code of Ethics Violations

Aliso Viejo can do far better than Ross

It’s now come to light that Councilman Ross Chun is guilty of numerous Code of Ethics violations in his campaign to retain his city council seat in Aliso Viejo.

On Aug 8, Ross Chun signed a Campaign Code of Ethics letter in which he promised:

1. To never participate directly or indirectly in attack messaging against any candidate

2. To immediately and publicly repudiate any individual or organization who was attacking his opponent(s)

3. He also promised to be honest and not lie about things like getting endorsed by the OC Sheriff’s Department, but instead chose to lie about it at least twice in separate campaign mailers (OCSD has not endorsed a candidate for Aliso Viejo City Council)

Here’s the evidence:

• Code of Ethics letter with Ross’s signature

  

• Photos of the address of the PAC and of Ross’s campaign (same address)

• Photos of the attack mailer and text message against Mayor Mike Munzing from the same RealPoliticsCA PAC

Councilman Chun has performed ZERO attempts to repudiate or condemn this PAC for its lies and attack messaging against Mayor Mike Munzing.

It’s been complete silence.

Aliso Viejo deserves better alright, better than Ross Chun.
